There are lot good things on this topic, but I just put the ones that I see that when you start doing them, it will really get you going! And because most of us have a busy life with work, kids, doing grocery, paying bills and so on, we simply forget of ignore them. So, here they are, just to remind you (and me!)!
Drink more than 2 litter of water. I usually take 2 cups of water as soon as I wake up, and then the rest throughout the day. It was a great tip from mine Chiropractor (believe me, it is easy to forget to do it!).
Eat less sugar At some days in the month, I realize how difficult it is. During those days, I have a dark bio chocolate bar in the kitchen draw just to save me! No, I don’t eat it all at once, but something like 30g.
Laugh and say something funny I had a teenager niece this year that stayed with us for 2 months, and because we laugh almost all the time and we made fun of simple things and moments, I realize that I could dare to do much more things and enjoy much more of my day.
Run at least two times 3 to 5 km per week in a different speed each time (if that sounds impossible for you, you can just walk 1 minute and jogging 30 seconds ) or walk around the block after dinner for 40 to 60 minutes this brings down the cholesterol level and sugar level in the blood. And can save you of having a LOT of diseases!
Talk good about someone That is something that can change you and others. Who doesn’t like a compliment! So, just follow your instinct and say something nice!
Jump! (You just don’t have jump from a table like me! But you can find a park bench!) It is prove that jumps can improve the condition of your heart, especially if you do some rope jumping for a few minutes. It also , improve balance and if you do it repeatedly, it will burns a lot more calories. You are never to old, to do that!
Do some front and side plank per day No matter what I say, I know your answer: ‘I don’t have discipline for it’. I will tell you a secret: ‘IT IS NOT TRUE’ ! So, when you wake up, make that your routine! Put something on the floor next to your bed, so when you wake up (after going to the bathroom), you can immediately start it. Just do some front and side plank (right and left). After that, just make some ‘child pose’ to stretch your lower back. Later I will post a nice sequence for morning exercises that I incorporate as my daily routine. And the best of this is..., that it will take only 5 minutes!!!
Let’s make that a game! You try it for 7 days (specially the exercises!), and then let me know how it goes! When you make a commitment and invest in yourself, you always get something much better as result. ;-)
